About Stefania Vincenzi

Stefania Vincenzi is an Italian survivor of the Costa Concordia disaster, featured in the Netflix documentary Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea (2026). She was 17 when the cruise ship ran aground off the island of Giglio on the night of January 13, 2012 — a voyage her mother had booked to celebrate her own 50th birthday. Vincenzi survived the wreck; her mother did not, and her account of that night anchors some of the documentary's most affecting moments. The following year she competed in the Miss Italia 2013 finals, fulfilling a promise she had made to her mother, who had dreamed of watching her take part when she turned 18.
